The Elisabeth Cross (First Class)

Made by C.F.Rothe, Wien. (F.R. signet)

Established in 1898 by Franz Joseph I in memory of his wife and named for the 13th century St Elisabeth of Thüringen. 
This is an order of merit for ladies. Consisted in three classes:
1. Grand Cross;
2. First Class;
3. Second Class.
After 1918 existed Elisabeth Medal too.
